Some Machines & Let's Get Aquainted!!

Simple Machines are hard at work in our classroom. We have been busy building and working with each simple machines. Here is some of our pulley work thanks to yarn, clothespins and some paint bottles.

We are doing our final project for it tomorrow...more to come on this, but I am so excited when even throughout the day I get "Hey, Ms. Lang that has a wheel and axle." I do my teacher smile and then have my moment where I imagine throwing my hands in the air cause they actually listened and learned!

I love a good linky! So I am linking up with Flying into First Grade for this:

Well my initials are JJL

I have never found J to be an easy letter to match up with all other school activities, beginning of the year stuff I came up with jumping, jockey, or joyful. Let's see if I can improve...

J- Jams (food wise and music wise)
I am spoiled thanks to the jam makers in my life. I love blackberry and strawberry rhubarb jam. Thank goodness I have learned to make a few batches myself! I love having music for everything!

J- Jeep. My jeep is amazing! It gets me all over the state on decent gas mileage and no major problems going on two years. Plus it has room to haul all my skis, bikes, an occasional dog, people, and whatever I decided needs to go.  (Knock on wood)

L- Lakes

Living in the Great Lakes state, I love lakes in all sizes, shapes, and places. Lake Michigan is my local favorite though! Last summer I did a Lake-a-Day challenge throughout the summer. I am going to do it again this year, but it make it more of a Lake Michigan-a-Day challenge and it will be freezing until mid-June and then starts getting cold again in August.

  1. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had trouble coming up with the perfect words! And you have double J's! Love listening/eating to all kinds of "jams" too!
