Oh February

It is just a quiet and relaxing winter day here! The snow is beautiful! It is the soft fluttering snow but is starting to come down a bit harder. Either way I am going to go enjoy it soon.

Wanting: A few weekends ago the snow was no good for skiing so instead on a whim, and it should be noted I do not just go and spend money especially this much money, I bought a brand new top of the line road bike. Since I keep signing up for triathlons it is worth it. I am so excited to break it out and start riding!!

Needing: I drive too much. Teleporting could save time and money...at least in my dream world.

Pet Peeves: Lying- I hate it. It seems like lately whenever there is a situation with students I never get the full story. It is beyond old. The truth is better no matter the situation.
Also I hate people who don't respond to you whether it is phone calls, texts, emails, or even face to face. If I have learned anything lately it is how important the people in my life are to me. I will respond to anyone as quickly as I can. Being ignored is the worst.
People not taking responsibility is another. I know I am guilty of this and taking responsibility is hard and part of growing up, but still needs to be done. I hear all the time "well my Mom forgot to..." Seriously these poor moms.

Happy February everyone!! Happy Shopping too!!

  1. I wish it was snowing here like it is where you are. I love the snow but we don't get much in southeast VA. Maybe you could try and send some my way. :)

  2. People blaming is the worst and so is not responding. You know they have their phone on them no matter what.
    Happy February to you!

  3. It drives me crazy when my students don't give me the "whole" story or give me something else. It would be so much easier if they just told the truth - saving themselves (and us!) time and frustration.
    Happy February!

  4. It is snowing here as well. Just lightly but it is very pretty. I must say I envy those who are in warm places right now. 13 degrees is a little too cold! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  5. I always hated it when my students would blame their parents for things. I taught 5th grade, and I told them it was THEIR responsibility, too. I required them to read my weekly newsletter because I KNEW most of the parents weren't.

  6. Enjoy your new bike! I am doing my first triathlon this May (a very small one) and wish that I had a road bike instead of my mountain bike. Love your blog!
