I'm sorry. I feel like I am letting many down myself included, but honestly I haven't seem to think of any creative ideas.
Truthfully, I am that run down by everything else (much of which I know you all can relate to but can't be mentioned here).
But I started to think about why I am even here why I became a teacher. Since I love a good story and learning more about you lovely bloggers I decided to do my first linky. What's Your Teaching Tale?

Here's my teaching tale:
WHEN I DECIDE...Short Answer: First grade
Essay Answer: In first grade I thought my teacher, Mrs. Brow, was so nice and made first grade so much fun I wanted to be just like her. I can even remember writing it in one of my journals. I decided right then I was going to be a teacher.
HOW I BECAME ONE...
Fast forward to high school and sports became my love but I was still interested in working with kids. Since I went to a school where K-12 are housed under one roof I took advantage of the chance to be a teacher's aide for my second grade teacher Mrs. Pierce (she had moved to first grade by then). Side note: Mrs. Pierce was also my preschool teacher and babysat me. When I was in high school I babysat for her two girls. She did not have me to the busy work of stapling, cutting, copying, and organizing for very long. I got to work with the first graders with their sight words, reading, and even hold editing sessions during writing workshop. I can honestly say I fall in love. I loved watching how students learned to read...even today it still amazed me. I stayed her teacher's aide for 2 1/2 years until I graduated.
When I went to Michigan State University my intention was to become an athletic trainer. After one semester of hanging out in locker and training rooms (which I did enjoy), I knew I would rather be teaching. Mrs. Pierce was one of the first people I called to tell I was switching my major. She was thrilled. She has been an influence in my life since I was three.

I'm curious why are you a teacher? What paths did you travel?
I can't wait to hear your stories. Hope you join my linky!!!

I think first grade was the grade that cinched the deal for me too. :)
