How I Organize My First Assessments {FREEBIE}

There is so much going on these first few days of school including learning who your students are and what skills they have as learners.

In the past, I would use sticky notes many sticky notes at that. Of course the sticky notes would get lost and I would be left trying to remember what I wrote down.
To solve that problem I made a simple sheet to help me keep track. You can grab your copy here.

It is really easy to use. In the first column I write down the skill a little explanation and the standard if there is one. The second column I just list the names. The third I add a little more explanation or make a note if I need to see more so I know if it is something I need to look closer at.

I have found it so helpful to have it all in one place. I have notes about students having trouble with place value down to words I notice many struggle writing and even those who are struggling writing numbers the right way.

Hope you find this useful!!
